China's disparate trade policies put it at disadvantage in tariff fight with Trump

China Once Looked Tough on Trade. Now Its Options Are Dwindling.

China said it would impose tariffs on an additional $60 billion of U.S. imports. But Beijing is running out of American goods to target as the trade war intensifies.
This is what happens when a country has protectionist policies that discriminate against one of its largest trade partners.  China needs to strike a fair deal with Trump because its tit for tat tariff fight is a loser for it.
