Democrat congressional leadership underwater with voters

Most Americans disapprove of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who stands as the most unpopular congressional leader, a Rasmussen Reports survey released Wednesday found.

The 82-year-old congresswoman is the most unpopular among congressional leaders, as 60 percent find her unfavorable. Among those, 50 percent find her “very” unfavorable.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) fares slightly better, although 53 percent also find him unfavorable. Fifty-eight percent find Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) unfavorable, and a plurality, 41 percent, find House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) unfavorable as well.

Independents, particularly, are sour on Pelosi, as 63 percent find her unfavorable, as do 34 percent of Democrats and 83 percent of Republicans....

Both Pelosi and Schumer made waves last month after holding a joint press conference, where they denied responsibility for rising gas prices, which hit another record high on Tuesday. Rather, the two placed the blame primarily on oil and gas companies....

Biden is primarily to blame for high energy prices but Democrats have gone along with his policies of limiting US production while importing foreign oil.  It is a policy that makes no sense and has hurt used consumers and increased inflation in this country.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
