Chicoms take advantage of US media

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is using the United States’ free and open media platforms to spread state propaganda and misinformation, according to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Blinken said U.S. leadership is “deeply concerned” about the CCP’s efforts to quash press freedoms in mainland China while simultaneously exploiting free media in other nations to spread pro-Beijing messaging.

“We have a total imbalance, because these leaders in Beijing are using the free and open media that we ensure and are protected in democratic systems to spread propaganda, to spread misinformation,” he said.

“Ultimately, that’s an unsustainable proposition.”

Blinken made the comments as part of a speech recognizing World Press Freedom Day on May 3, during which he also highlighted the CCP regime’s efforts to leverage its financial ties with foreign corporations to either direct the content of foreign news companies or otherwise silence news that portrayed the regime in a negative manner.

The Chicoms are totalitarian control freaks that fear an open and honest debate.  We have come to expect this kind of conduct from the and should be wary of their communications at home and abroad.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014.
