Tom Cotton and Dan Crenshaw look to weed out Wokeness in military

 Washington Examiner:

Republican Sen. Tom Cotton and Rep. Dan Crenshaw are launching a new initiative to locate and eliminate “woke” training programs in the U.S. military.

“Enough is enough,” Crenshaw, a retired lieutenant commander with the United States Navy and a Navy SEAL, said in a tweet. “We won’t let our military fall to woke ideology.”

The duo added a feature to their own congressional websites that allows military service members to submit anonymous reports of instances or pieces of training that are perceived as “woke.”

“We have just launched a whistleblower webpage where you can submit your story. Your complaint will be legally protected, and go to my office and @SenTomCotton,” the Texas Republican tweeted.

...

Crenshaw said his goal is simple: Allow military members “to tell the country what’s happening” inside the U.S. military and to “expose” those in leadership who are pushing “progressive” agendas.

“With written permission, we will anonymously publish egregious complaints on social media and tell the country what’s happening in our military,” Crenshaw said in a second tweet. “For too long, progressive Pentagon staffers have been calling the shots for our warfighters, and spineless military commanders have let it happen.”

...

I think the problem starts at the top and has gotten worse since the Biden team moved in.  It is something the enemy can take advantage of if not rooted out.
