Who knew?--Masks make it harder to identify people

Washington Post:

Top facial recognition tech is thrown off by masks, study says, but that could soon change

The algorithms can be tripped up by such variables as mask color and shape, researchers find, pushing error rates as high as 50 percent.
The only thing really surprising about this is that facial recognition still works 50 percent of the time.

Will those wearing the bandito masks be harder to identify because they cover more of the face?
