How the Media Got It Wrong
John Keegan, one of the best military historians, explains how he correctly predicted the outcome of the war and how many others got it wrong.
The ones who got it wrong for the most part showed little depth of understanding of the use of force. Their analysis seem to reflect their hopes rather than any real understanding of the military situation. In that regard, they were much like the arabs who listened to what the Iraqi Info Minister said and thought Coalition brifings were propaganda. Sometimes a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest. That was one of Saddam's mistakes too.
