Dems use kids as human shields

Michelle Malkin:

Quoted material removed. You may read the original at the link above.
She gives other examples of Democrat props for their agenda. Democrats use these props so they do not have to have an honest debate on the issues. When they are challenged, they respond with a "how dare you" pick on a sick person rather than engage on the issues. Even the NY Times saw through the ruse.

...

The feud also illustrates what can happen when politicians showcase real people to make a point, a popular but often perilous technique. And in this case, the discourse has been anything but polite.

...

Certainly the Frosts are not destitute. They also own a commercial property, valued at about $160,000, that provides rental income. Mr. Frost works intermittently in woodworking and as a welder, while Mrs. Frost has a part-time job at a firm that provides services to publishers of medical journals. Her job does not provide health coverage.

Under the Maryland child health program, a family of six must earn less than $55,220 a year for children to qualify. The program does not require applicants to list their assets, which do not affect eligibility.

...

In other words, the Frosts do not need the expansion of the program to continue getting health care services. The report does not break down their income but it suggest that wood working business is no longer the primary source of income and that the property where it once operated is now rented out to others. Rental income may even exceed wood working income.

Custom wood working is a trade that relies primarily on providing goods and services to the rich. Wealthy people are more likely to order or have their decorator order custom pieces to fit a specific need. When Democrats tax the rich they are taking away money that might have otherwise been spent with Mr. Frost providing him income to buy insurance with and take care of his family. By soaking the rich, Mr. Frost's business become collateral damage.

BTW, the dispute over whether the counter tops in the Frost kitchen are granite or concrete is not a winner for the Frost partisans either since concrete counter tops are by no means cheap. If you are looking for inexpensive counter tops you would go with Formica. Concrete counters by their very nature are custom made. If Frost did the cabinets, he did a nice job, but cabinet making is basically production work and it is hard for custom builders to compete in that business.

The cute part is how I was attacked... I said it on my blog and I'll say it here. I wasn't defending SCHIP, not at all, I was defending that families right to privacy. That's why I put malkin's real address, Phone number and Arial picture of her house on my blog. I removed it after a reporter for the Baltimore Sun asked me to kill it, because they were doing a story on Malkin.

If Malkin wants to try painting me as moonbat, fine. I'll just paint her as the right wing fascist that she is.
