Biden using government agencies to attack political opposition

 Breitbart:

Attorney General Merrick Garland told House lawmakers Tuesday that the Biden Administration’s 2022 budget request for the Department of Justice (DOJ) would seek an $85 million increase from last year’s budget for domestic terrorism investigations and cases.

“Our budget supports my commitment to protecting our national security, including addressing both international and domestic terrorism while respecting civil liberties.” Garland testified to the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science. “It includes increases of $45 million for the FBI domestic terrorism investigations and $40 million for the U.S. attorneys to manage increasing domestic terrorism caseloads.”

The increase from last year’s budget for domestic terrorism cases comes as Democrats have sought to label Trump supporters who protested on January 6 at the Capitol as domestic terrorists, domestic violent extremists, and white supremacists. Committee Chairman Matt Cartwright (D-PA) said at the hearing the “attack on the Capitol” was an “unprecedented” threat from domestic violent extremism.

Most of the domestic violence in this country has involved Antifa and BLM who are not the targets of this expenditure.  Republicans are also complaining about the return of FISA abuses under the Biden administration that were used to push the Russian collusion hoax against Trump and spy on Carter Page.

... last week, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence declassified an opinion from the FISC – the court with oversight of the FISA system – which Jordan and Biggs said revealed the FBI "has been seriously and systematically abusing its warrantless electronic surveillance authority."

Biden is also using Homeland Security nonprofits to spy on Republicans

Fox News host Laura Ingraham warned Monday that the Department of Homeland Security is using private messaging apps to spy on Americans to look for domestic extremist chatter.

She cited a CNN report that said DHS is “limited in how it can monitor citizens online without justification and is banned from activities like assuming false identities to gain access to private messaging apps used by extremist groups such as the Proud Boys or Oath Keepers.”

Therefore, according to CNN, DHS might partner with non-profit groups that “periodically use covert identities to access private social media groups like Telegram, and others used by domestic extremist groups,” which “thrusts DHS into a potential legal gray area even as it plugs an intelligence gap that critics say contributed to the failure to predict the assault on the Capitol.”

Ingraham said Republicans should demand hearings “and hold all of these people up to scrutiny.”

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) agrees.

“The Obama/Biden administration is the same administration that used the IRS to target people like you and I and all of your viewers. The Obama-Biden administration used the FBI to target President Trump’s campaign, and now they’re looking at ways as you said to spy on all of us. So you are exactly right. We need hearings. Let's see if the Democrats will do it. I don’t think they will, but we are going to be calling for them,” he said.
Ingraham played a clip of former FBI agent Clinton Watts on MSNBC describing supporters of former President Donald Trump as some sort of “sleeper cell.”

The Biden administration is acting like a Soviet-style police operation against people who have different political views from this left-wing government.  It looks like they are getting a lot of help from federal law enforcement and agencies while they mostly ignore the real domestic violence in this country by the left.
