Trumps suggest NRA move to Texas
Washington Examiner:
This is a great idea. Texas is a state that respects the second amendment and is much more dynamic than New York at this point. The NRA would be part of a growing movement of companies and organizations moving their headquarters to the state.
President Trump said the National Rifle Association should move to Texas after the New York attorney general announced efforts to dissolve the gun-rights group.
The state's Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, filed a lawsuit on Thursday charging the NRA with a multitude of "fraud and abuse" violations. Among the accusations James is throwing at the group include financial misconduct, alleging the group used money for vacations, private jets, and high-priced meals.
"That’s a very terrible thing that just happened," Trump told reporters outside the White House. "I think the NRA should move to Texas and lead a very good and beautiful life, and I've told them that for a long time."
