The mutiny of the Deep State Praetorians

Mackubin Owens:
Praetorianism and the ‘Deep State’

Article II gives the president sweeping powers to conduct foreign affairs and negotiate with leaders of other nations. It does not grant any such power to unelected bureaucrats to act in ways that demonstrate they approve or disapprove of foreign policy—even when they are “deeply troubled” by it.
The arrogance of the light colonel and others who opposed the President's Ukraine policies is deserving of firing at a minimum.  The same goes for the anonymous cowards who leak to the media.  If you do not like the President's policies the honorable thing to do is to resign.
