Another Democrat smear campaign against a judicial nomination fails

President Donald Trump’s nominee to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, Steven Menashi, was confirmed by the Senate Thursday after surviving what many Republicans and conservative media say has been a left-wing smear campaign.

Carrie Severino, chief counsel and policy director of the Judicial Crisis Network, tweeted:
Despite left-wing interest groups and Senate Democrats employing their tired, smear-campaign playbook yet again, Steven Menashi is now rightfully Judge Menashi. The left’s smear train is running out of steam; it sputters along but it isn’t getting anywhere.

Menashi, 40, was confirmed by the Senate, 51-41. Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine joined with Democrats in opposing his confirmation to the federal appeals court based in New York.

The Democrats' treatment of judicial nominees appears to be abominable.  There is no smear that is beyond them.  It is a further demonstration of how they are losing it because they will no longer be able to force their agenda on the people by judicial dictates.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
