China's stalling on trade talks with Trump likely led to sale of weapons to Taiwan

Washington Post:
Trump administration plans $8 billion fighter jet sale to Taiwan, angering China

The White House approved the largest such sale in decades despite stalled trade talks and rising tension with Beijing.
Did it ever occur to the Washington Post that it was actually Chicom stalling that led to the sale?  Probably not.  They seem to look at every action by the President as something to criticize instead of an event to report.  The real story is that China is paying a price for its intransigence on trade.  That Cina's leaders ar unhappy about it is not particularly relevant.
