House votes to side with Iran in Yemen

Washington Post:
House votes to end support for Saudi-led coalition in Yemen

The resolution marks a repudiation of President Trump's continued cooperation with and defense of Saudi Arabia and its crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman. But even if it passes the Senate, lawmakers lack the votes to overcome a promised veto.
This latest bit of Democrat virtue signaling is contrary to US strategic interests and the interests of US allies in the region.  It is a way of demonstrating pique about the death of a Saudi reporter who was working as an agent for Qatar in an influence operation in the US.  It is really a dumb idea that could give Iran a position to block the Suez canal and the shipment of oil to the West.  It is as if the Democrats in Congress have lost the ability to read a map.
