Why weren't the stealth fighters flown out of harms way with a hurricane approaching?

Back in the late 60's I spent some time at the Naval air station in Pensacola and my recollection is that they had a plan to fly the trainers to bases out of the path of a hurricane if one approached. I would be shocked if the Air Force had no such contingency plans for valuable stealth fighters. The only reasons I can think of for not evacuating them is that they were not capable of flying at the time.Tyndall Air Force Base a ‘Complete Loss’ Amid Questions About Stealth Fighters
