For over 30 years the climate change crowd as been issuing dire warning that action would be required immediately or we are doomed

Washington Post:
World has just over a decade to get control of climate change, U.N. scientists say

The report warns of dire consequences if nations do not cut their carbon emissions by more than 1 billion tons per year, a figure that is larger than the annual emissions of nearly every country on the planet.
Remember when Al Gore told us that the poles would be ice free by now?  If thee dire prediction were coming true the Northwest Passage north of Canada would be busy with traffic now instead of still being blocked by ice.  The glaciers would have all melted and sea level would have risen above several low lying islands.  That did not happen either.

I think these projections have not come true because their models relied on invalid assumptions about the effect of CO2.  If a business projects a profit based on increased sales and profit is never realized, either the sales did not meet expectation or other costs occurred to offset the sales increase.  The climate scientists have been woefully inadequate in explaining why their dire predictions have not been realized.
