ICE employee busted for campaigning for Hillary Clinton in violation of Hatch Act

Washington Times:
An ICE employee agreed to resigned Tuesday and accepted a five-year bar from working in the federal government after admitting to politicking on behalf of Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.

The employee, who officials didn’t name, posted more than 100 messages to social media while at work urging people to vote for Mrs. Clinton. And the employee also promoted a Clinton campaign rally and urged coworkers to back the Democratic nominee.

She even continued the behavior after being approached by ethics watchdogs, the U.S. Office of Special Counsel said in announcing the resignation.

The woman’s ouster — and agreement not to take a federal job for five more years — is a serious punishment when it comes to violations of the Hatch Act, the federal law that restricts employees’ ability to campaign while on taxpayers’ dime.

I think most ICE employees want to be able to do their jobs and Trump seemed like the more likely candidate to allow them to do so.  It is strange that one would support Hillary Clinton under those circumstances.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit.
