Further cross-examination of Gates leads to more damage to his case

Washington Post:
Rick Gates, a star witness in prosecutors’ case against ex-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, said he did not tell agents about hidden income from accounts in Cyprus. The testimony came as Manafort's attorneys continued to try to attack Gates’s credibility, including suggesting that he might have had four extramarital affairs.
When you consider that Gates cut a deal with the prosecutors to testify against Manafort, he is doing great damage to his own credibility and to that of the prosecution.  I think they will have great difficulty rehabbing him on redirect.
