California fails to take action to prevent forest fires

This tweet from Kimberley Strassel responds to Adam Schiff's deflection of blame for the burning woods of California:
Allow me to help YOU, Mr. Schiff. Here is a link to December USDA report showing a record 129 million dead trees in California, citing forest mismanagement for fires. Your own California state fire office signed on to it.

It is weird that California greens think cutting the underbrush and dead trees which feeds the fires is equivalent to "clear-cutting." Anyway, the forest fires are doing their own clear cutting because California failed to properly manage its forests.  Those dead trees could have been used for building trees or furniture too.
