Keep the statute of limitation on rape cases

NY Times:

Should Statutes of Limitations for Rape Be Abolished?

Across the country, time-limiting laws prevent scores of sexual assault cases from being prosecuted, in spite of persuasive evidence or a confession.
Rape is a despicable crime.  DNA tests can now provide conclusive evidence of the perpetrator.  That is why the rape should be reported immediately.  It also makes it easier to find potential witnesses.  If a party waits years to make the charges it becomes a she said, he said case and an innocent defendant is robbed of the chance to show his DNA is not the same as the perpetrator.
