A hurricane that did not live up to its hype?

NY Times:

A Monster Surge Was Expected. Here’s Why It Never Came.

The storm’s track over land and other elements of meteorological luck meant that far less of Florida was underwater than had been projected.
As with many predictions of 'climate change' predictions of dire consequences from a hurricane have not been met.  I suspect that what happens is the forecasters want to say things that will get people to respond and seek safety by leaving.

The media also likes to hype the potential of a storm.  It is understandable to some extent but at some point, these predictions may be treated like the boy who cried wolf and lead to tragic circumstances when people start discounting the warnings.
