El Chapo wired by US in several recordings

NY Times:

The U.S. Case vs. El Chapo: 10,000 Pages and Recordings

Federal prosecutors said Friday that Joaquín Guzmán Loera’s trial could last three months and include 1,500 audio recordings and 10,000 pages of documents.
Depending on the content of the recordings and documents, the case looks like a difficult on for the defense.  They could confuse non-Spanish speaking jurors by making them listen to the recordings and then have to listen to translations.  I suspect that most defendants faced with this volume of evidence agree to a plea bargain.  Perhaps he could tell the government where his $14 plus billion is stashed and how the US can get its hands on it.  It would go a long way toward the building of a border fence.
