A blast of grass-roots energy against the Republican bill has been generated by a single clause, which Democrats have vowed to make a campaign issue.
Take a look at this congressman's rebuttal of Democrat claims on pre-existing conditions:

Democrats have also exaggerated the number of people who have benefited from the pre-existing conditions provision of Obamacare.  They also have attempted to exaggerate opposition to the bill with an organized astroturf operation.

It is clear that Democrats lied to get Obamacare passed and they now stand accused of lying to stop a bill to fix their mess.  Obamacare has done great harm to many families in this country.  If Democrats and the media keep pretending that it was wonderful and people love it they will continue to lose credibility.
