Democrats could take a lesson from the left in the UK but probably will not

Washington Post:
After hard-left turn, Britain’s Labour Party is on course for a historic defeat

With less than six weeks until Britons go to the polls again, the Labour Party appears headed for a broad, deep electoral beatdown. It may offer a cautionary tale for Democrats in the United States.
It is really one of the main reasons Democrats have lost a thousand seats since 2010, but their response to losing the 2016 election is to double down on liberalism.   This is probably a good sign for the GOP, but the media is still backing the failure and losing more of its credibility by doing so.   Chuck Schumer, incredibly still thinks he is in the"mainstream."
