Islamist despot in Turkey acquires more power to abuse

Turkey’s Leader Claims Vast New Powers

After President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won a referendum by a narrow margin, the opposition warned that the vote might cement authoritarian rule and demanded a recount.
Opponents of Erdogan are already challenging the results of the "election."  They have good reason to be suspicious.  Erdogan has been marching toward totalitarian rule for some time and building himself a huge palace to occupy.  He has been an unreliable ally for NATO countries for some time and he will probably only become worse now.
