The Metathesiophobia on the left has not abated

NY Times:

Fear of Protesters Prompts Cancellation of Trump Trip

The decision to scrap a trip to Milwaukee rather than face demonstrators there is likely to inspire the president’s opponents even more.
The left's fear of change (Metathesiophobia) has reduced many of them to hysteria and that hysteria has been embraced by liberals in Washington and in the media.  It has made normal visits problematic.  If the tantrums on the left do not abate, it will do further damage to their political posture.

Wisconsin has seen this kind of hysteria from liberals before in reaction to Scott Walker's changes in state government policies.  Those policies have worked and he has defeated the hysterical left three times.

It is also related to the “collective Munchausen” syndrome.
