Many in Australia think Trump was right in berating the bad deal on refugees

Steve Kates:
...
For Malcolm (Turnbull) apparently to have tried to push Trump, by telling him that as a fellow businessman that a deal is a deal, must rank as politically incompetent as anything I have ever seen. That Trump now thinks of Malcolm as a flea-weight no-account fool only means he has the same assessment of the PM as the rest of us.
...
There is much more.  The comments from other Aussies support this contention.  It appears that those in congress who criticized trump are the ones in the minority in Australia.  Musch of the media appears to have missed this point, but they just seem to look for anything to criticize Trump.

It should be blindingly obvious that this is a bad deal for the US and it is getting nothing of value from the Australian government for doing it.  In contract law the deal would fail for lack of consideration.
