Liberal leakers have no evidence that Trump campaign colluded with Russians on Clinton hacks

NY Times:

Intercepted Calls Show Contact During 2016, Officials Say

  • Trump aides and associates made repeated contact with senior Russian officials during the 2016 campaign, current and former U.S. officials told The Times.
  • The officials said that, so far, they had not seen evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia on the hacking of the Democratic National Committee or to influence the election.
In the news business, this is what is known as "burying the lead."  Most of the Russian contact hysteria has been trying to tie the Trump campaign to the Russian hacking.  There is no prohibition on contacting foreign leaders.  Both parties do it when running for office.

I suspect that one of the sources for this piece is "Mr. Echo Chamber" Ben Rhodes who was responsible for pushing misleading information about the terrible Iran deal and is desperately trying to salvage it by leading attacks on the Trump administration according to reports in conservative media.

Another possible source would be John Brennan who has also been actively trying to do things that would sabotage Trump policies that are different from the ones he pushed under Obama.  Both of these people should be questioned by those seeking to find the source of the leaks.  It would not surprise me to find that Obama is also behind these sabotage attempts.
