New rule on asylum would eliminate most of the bogus claims

NY Times:

Most Migrants at Border With Mexico Would Be Denied Asylum Protections Under New Trump Rule

The rule, which goes into effect on Tuesday, denies protections to migrants who failed to apply for asylum in the first country they passed through on their way to the United States’ southwest border.
That happens to be the procedure required for asylum.  It would limit the scam currently used by economic migrants.
