The Democrats uncivil war against America
Lauretta Brown:
In the course of the election, many conservatives thought that the Democrats' attempt to "fundamentally transform" the country was aimed at destroying what they hold dear. By her logic, Republicans would have been within their rights to be uncivil toward Democrats. Should the GOP also be uncivil toward Antifa and those people throwing fits of hysteria?
As I have noted before, most of the political violence since the election has come from Democrats and those who support their agenda. A Democrats shot Steve Scalise. A Democrat attacked Rand Paul and broke his ribs. The Democrats militant wing Antifa has attacked conservatives with deliberate violence. Antifa has replaced the KKK as a Democrat tool of intimidation and violence.
The Democrats have given the GOP the opportunity to describe the protesters as an angry mob.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said Tuesday that twice-failed presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sent a very clear signal earlier Tuesday when she told CNN that it was time for Democrats to abandon civility.Hillary Clinton still does not comprehend why she lost the election. It was votes who thought she and the Democrats were trying to destroy what many in this country stand for. In the fight over the Kavanaugh nomination, the Democrats sought to destroy due process and the presumption of innocence.
“The far-left mob is not letting up,” he said on the floor of the Senate. “Earlier today former Secretary of State Clinton sent this signal as clear as today. This is Secretary Clinton. She told CNN exactly how she views millions of Americans who hold different political views from her own.”
“Here’s what she said: ‘You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for. If we’re fortunate enough to win back the House and/or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again,’” McConnell said, quoting a portion of Clinton’s remarks.
McConnell condemned the remarks, emphasizing that the Senate will not be intimidated.
“No peace until they get their way?” he asked. “More of these unhinged tactics? Apparently this is the left’s rallying cry. But fortunately the American people know that the fact-free politics of hate, fear, and intimidation are not how we actually govern in our democratic republic. The Senate and the nation will not be intimidated.”
