Trump was elected because voters did not trust Democrats to appoint Supreme Court justices

Washington Examiner:
President Trump said Tuesday night that one of the reasons he was elected president was because of the possibility of multiple Supreme Court nominations, which has come to fruition.

“The Supreme Court is one of the main reasons I got elected President,” Trump tweeted. “I hope Republican Voters, and others, are watching, and studying, the Democrats Playbook.”
...
Trump nominated Justice Neil Gorsuch shortly after he was elected president, as there was an opening when he entered the office.

Justice Kennedy announced his retirement earlier this year, and Trump nominated Brett Kavanaugh, who is currently in the process of confirmation hearings.

However, Kavanaugh's confirmation hearings have been derailed as Democrats continue efforts to postpone the vote until after the midterm elections, and Christine Blasey Ford came forward with sexual assault allegations against the nominee from more than three decades ago.
...
The Democrats conduct against Kavanaugh has been one of bad faith from the beginning  and has only gotten worse with the delay of bringing up the allegations of Ford in another bad faith attempt to delay a vote.  The Senate should go forward with the approval process or see the Democrats try the same thing on future nominations.  They should not be allowed to push such bad faith attempt sto scuttle a nomination.  They have been doing it too long and they need to pay a price in the Senate and with voters.
