DOJ says referral of allegations against Kavanaugh do not involve a federal crime

While the matter was referred to the FBI, the DOJ spokesperson said it is not the responsibility of the bureau to "make any judgment about the credibility or significance of any allegation."

A background investigation conducted by the FBI only looks at whether the nominee "could pose a risk to the national security of the United States," the DOJ spokesperson said.

The FBI received a letter on Sept. 12 that Ford wrote to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., in July detailing the allegation. The spokesperson said it has forwarded this letter to the White House Counsel’s Office.

The allegations also lack the specificity needed to charge a state crime and are of course well outside of any statute of limitation.  I think some will see them as the product of someone's imagination since all of those allegedly involved deny it ever happened.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit.
