More evidence that Brennan does not know what he is talking about when it comes to Trump

Ex-C.I.A. Chief Accuses Trump of Trying to Silence Critics


  • John O. Brennan, the C.I.A. director under President Barack Obama, struck back at President Trump for revoking his security clearance, arguing that Mr. Trump was trying to silence anyone who challenges him.
  • Mr. Trump’s decision to revoke the security clearance drew rebukes from national security officials and members of both parties.
Like much of what Brennan has said about Trump, this is absurd.  His actions in withdrawing Brennan's clearance will in no way silence him.  Brennan was already restricted in releasing classified material regardless of Trump's action.  Brennan will still spew his hatred on NBC and the government will not restrict him unless he does start revealing classified material.

What Trump does is nothing compared to what Obama actually did in sicing his AG on reporters and sources and threatening them with subpoenas and jail time.  What Trump does is respond to nearly every attack with a counter attack.  He exercises his own right to speak out about criticism he deems unfair.  He is not going to accept criticism in stoic silence like some Presidents did.  George W. Bush failed to respond to unfair criticism and saw his approval driven down to below 30 percent.  Trump fights back and his approval has gone up while that of the media has gone down.

The media made a fatal mistake when they decided that they did not need to be fair to President Trump.  They made the same mistake by deciding that they would not "normalize" him.  By doing so it became obvious to Trump supporters that their guy was not going to get a fair shake from the media so their trust of it fell even further.

What the media needs to do is not collude on editorials criticizing the President.  They need to restore trust by treating him fairly.  If they did that, their criticism might get more traction.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014.
