DACA on borrowed time faces a decision in federal court in Texas

NY Times:

As Texas and Other States Close In, Can DACA Survive Latest Legal Attack?

A federal court in Houston heard arguments on a bid to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. But the fate of the program is complicated.
The program was illegal, to begin with, and Obama knew that when he signed the executive order.  Liberals have been forum shopping to get orders to keep the illegal program alive but that may come a cropper with a suit by the state of Texas challenging DACA's legality.

If Democrats were smart, they would cut a deal with Trump to amend the immigration laws to take care of these people in return for tougher border enforcement.
