Trump Supreme Court nomination has a Texas connection

Washington Post:
Brett Kavanaugh is nominated by Trump to succeed Supreme Court Justice Kennedy

President Trump elevated a conservative stalwart with deep ties to the Republican establishment to succeed retiring Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, triggering a partisan war over the court’s future.
Kavanaugh made an impressive response to his nomination by Trump.  Democrats will look silly trying to find anything wrong with his statement or his record.  That is unlikely to stop them from trying.  They are too desperate to hang on to judging by feelings rather than the law and the Constitution.  Kavanaugh's wife is from West Texas and a graduate of the Univerity of Texas.  Their first date was on 9-10, 2001.  The next day they were scurrying out of the White House because a plane was headed in that direction.
