Bic Mac diplomacy?

Washington Post:
Kim Jong Il reportedly had McDonald’s flown in from China. His son might get a franchise.

The fast-food chain has long been seen as a symbol of Western culture and capitalism. If McDonald's opened a location in Pyongyang, experts and history suggest this could be a big deal.
Could North Korea find suppliers for the food that comes from McDonald's?  They may have to import most of it from South Korea or China.  It would be interesting to see if they could live with the strict requirements of a McDonald's franchisee.  It sounds like they could have a powerful customer even of most of the people in the country cannot afford to eat there.
