Beto O'Rourke's celebrity endorsements will not be confused with those of Chuck Norris

Legal Insurrection:
If you’re running for Senate in Texas, coastal celebrity support ain’t gonna do jack to get you over the finish line.

Nevertheless, Sarah Jessica Parker is the latest celebrity to publicly show support for Rep. Beto O’Rourke, the Democratic candidate running against incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz.

Parker was photographed wearing a Beto campaign button at a film festival in New York City, according to the The El Paso Times.
The actress, famous for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City,” was photographed sporting an O’Rourke campaign button at a film festival in New York.

…O’Rourke’s campaign button was a feature in Parker’s ensemble at the Tribeca Film Festival last month, a look Harper’s Bazaar dubbed “her most relatable fashion moment ever.”
The long-time actress and New Yorker isn’t the only celebrity to throw some love at O’Rourke.

Rosie O’Donnell donated as much as legally possible to Rep. O’Rourke last year. O’Donnell has been in headlines the last week or so for allegedly over-donating to Democrat campaigns.

Other celebrities who’ve either publicly supported or donated to O’Rourke include (according to the Houston Chronicle):

  • Actress Connie Britton, who has starred in Friday Night Lights and Nashville, the television series. She gave $5,400 to the campaign.
  • Actor Tate Donovan, who has starred in the O.C. and Damages. He gave $2,955.
  • Television writer Jonathan Groff, who is the writer and producer of Black-ish. He gave $500.
  • Writer/Producer Steve Hely, known for his work on shows like 30 Rock and The Office. He gave $1,000.
  • Music company owner Jason Flom of Lava Records, who helped launch artists like Katy Perry, Kid Rock and Lorde. He gave $5,400.
  • Actor Shea Whigham of Boardwalk Empire and True Detective. He gave $1,000.
...
I am not familiar with many of these "celebrities"  but Parker has endorsed liberals in the past.  On the other hand, Chuck Norris actually has a ranch a few miles from my property and has endorsed Greg Abbott among others.  Most Texans are not impressed with the views of New York liberals.
