Britain learns alternative energy can't handle severe weather as storm produces gas shortages

Alternative energy sources cannot be scaled up or down to meet demand in severe weather. Until that problem is fixed it is a mistake to rely on it as anything but a supplemental power source.

And price hikes and shortages were reported by the National Grid yesterday
The Rough site was responsible for 70 percent of the UK’s entire gas storage
