The man who fought back against the mass murderer

Washington Post:
‘Act now, ask questions later’: An unlikely hero describes gun battle, chase with Texas shooter

Johnnie Langendorff was driving to his girlfriend's house when he stumbled into the massacre.
It was a very Texas response to a shooter who was bent on killing as many people as possible.  Langendorff's actions stopped the murder spree and then he chased down the killer driving his truck at 95 mph while calling in reports on their location to police.

The killer was an accused wife and child beater who was drummed out of the Air Force.  It is interesting that he threw down his gun and ran when Langendorff challenged him.  That is something a real military rifleman would never do, but real military trained fighters do not go around shooting unarmed civilians.
