Clinton's support for NFL protests causes Trump to urge her to run for President again

Washington Free Beacon:
President Donald Trump mockingly begged Hillary Clinton to run against him again for the White House on Monday, saying, "Hillary, please run again!"

After Fox News reporter John Roberts noted Clinton's support for protesting NFL players who take a knee during the national anthem and Trump's own tweet about Clinton possibly running again, Trump cut over him.

"Oh, I hope Hillary runs. Is she going to run? I hope. Hillary, please run again!" Trump said in a mock pleading voice.

Trump went on to say Clinton was "wrong" about her stance on the NFL players during his wide-ranging press conference outside the White House.

Trump has consistently criticized players mimicking Colin Kaepernick's initial protest; on Monday, he suggested owners suspend players who do not stand for our "great national anthem."

Trump called Clinton's stance on the NFL protests an example of why she lost.

"I fully understand why she didn't win," he said. "There are a lot of reasons she didn't win, including the fact that she was not good at what she did. But I will tell you, that is something that I had just heard about, and I think that her statement in itself is very disrespectful to our country."
...
I think he would like to see Democrats run on that issue in the 2018 midterm elections too.  Democrats really are tone deaf on the issue and with Trump they have an adversary who is willing to call them on it.  It does not help Democrats that the player protests were based on the Ferguson "hands up, don't shoot" lie.  This lie has led to cop killings and more black on black homicides as police pull back from black neighborhoods in response to the protests in those communities.
