Country and Western song writers are in trouble

NEW A new study from Johns Hopkins University claims alcohol not only prevents you from forgetting bad memories but may make them stronger, averting positive effects from psychotherapy.
The country and western songwriters have been writing songs about people self-medicating for depression by copious consumption of alcohol for years.  Now we know why it never worked for the guys who tried it.   Here is a George Jones classic about the problem.
