Could global warming make the air cleaner?

Polish Capital Grapples With Gloomy, Gray Smog

The spike in air pollution was mainly driven by a cold snap that forced thousands of households to crank up poor quality heaters that burn things like coal and garbage.
To keep cold weather from killing them, many people have to burn things like wood or other heating fuels to stay warm.  Recent stories have reported that the liberal fascists at the EPA want Alaskans to stop burning wood in the winter time.  A warmer planet would mean less need for heating.

Actually, passive solar is a relatively effective way to stay comfortable but it would be difficult to do in many cities where housing is stacked on top of each other.  In the winter, the sun tends to dip down in the southern sky in the northern hemisphere.  So a house with a lot of glass on the south side can be warmed when the sun is out.  The design does require that you have at least a three-foot overhang over the windows so they are not getting direct sunlight in the warmer months when the sun is higher in the sky.

I designed my home with that in mind and it works pretty well.  I can stay pretty comfortable when it is cold out without having to burn fuel from about 10 a.m. until sundown.
