NY Times:

U.S. Hate Crimes Surge 6%, Fueled by Attacks on Muslims


A report expanded on findings by experts who have noted an alarming rise in some types of hate crimes tied to the vitriol of the presidential race and recent terrorist attacks.
Crimes against Muslims still pale in comparison to anti-semantic crimes.  What we are also finding is that many of the so-called hate crimes are  bogus, such as that of a young woman at the University of Louisiana Layafette who claimed her hijab was pulled off when she was allegedly attacked by someone wearing a Trump hat.  She later told police she made it up.  The false report was apparently politically motivated.

Since the election, there have been other false reports accusing Trump supporters while the media has done its best to ignore hate crimes perpetrated against Trump supporters such as the beating of a man in Chicago.

This is not to say that there have been on attacks on Muslims as a result of the terrorist attacks in the US.  There is genuine anger about the terrorist attacks and the administration has fueled that anger by not being more aggressive in dealing with terrorist and by importing more Muslims despite its acknowledged inability to properly vet them.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ... Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
