Trump not doing as well as Romney with senior voters

Donald Trump is losing the senior vote, reversing a trend 20 years in the making.

For the first time since 2000, the Republican nominee doesn't have the majority of the support of voters 65-years-old and above, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of a September poll published Sunday.

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton leads Trump 44 percent to 42 percent among seniors. That represents a striking turn around from 2012, when Mitt Romney led Barack Obama 56 to 44 percent, according to national exit polls.

Trump comes across as more angry than nice and people from older generations do not trust an angry man.  It is not the kind of leadership they respect.  What is striking about the numbers is that Clinton is still only getting the same percentage as Obama who lost the seniors by 12 percent while Trump is doing 14 points worse than Romney.  Trump appears to be paying a price for coming across as a jerk.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014.
