The caliphate in decline

After Losses in Syria and Iraq, ISIS Moves the Goal Posts

The group has been laying ideological groundwork to maintain its appeal as it suffers on the battlefield.
Attacks on those responsible for its propaganda efforts have also hurt it.  The two top pushers of its ideology met their demise from air strikes.  Yesterday ISIL lost the town where it had said the final battle would be fought with the West.  It was not much of an apocalypse.  In fact, it was so anticlimactic that it barely made the news.  That is too bad because it would be a good story to get out for those trying to deal with the ISIL appeal in the West.
