OP-ED does not get the opposition to Iranian dress code for women
NY Times:
Look, just because some women are willing to wear funny clothes does not mean that visitors should have to. If someone wants to wear a sack over their head, go for it whether you are in Iran or in the West. Just don't demand that people from different cultures embrace the screwy code of the Mullahs who think women's hair emanates "sex rays." They can be weird if they want to be. It is called freedom. Outsiders may think they know best about policing how Muslim women dress. They don’t.
