The Saudis can no longer afford foreign workers stranding thousands

Washington Post:
Thousands of Indian workers are stranded in Saudi Arabia without pay or provisions

The Indian government has assisted with food and may start evacuating workers who have lost their jobs because low oil prices have hit the Saudi economy hard.
As was pointed out in this earlier post today, the Saudis along with all but two members of OPEC are losing money with oil at the current price.   The Indian workers are just some of the casualties of the misguided strategy of trying to increase market share and drive US shale producers out of business.  The shale producers have cut cost and survived the scheme.

OPEC and the Saudis need a new strategy before their reserves run out.  For the weaker members of OPEC, it is already too late.
