Canadian authorities kill ISIL figure in raid

Washington Examiner:
Police in Ontario, Canada, killed a 23-year-old man Wednesday who had planned to carry out a suicide bombing in a nearby city, according to a report by CTV late Wednesday.

Police stormed the Strathroy, Ontario, residence of Aaron Driver after receiving a tip that the suspect was plotting an attack later that day. Witnesses of the raid reported hearing a loud explosion and gunshots as SWAT and bomb teams moved in on Driver.

"A suspect was identified and the proper course of action has been taken to ensure that there is no danger to the public's safety," a statement from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said.

The man appears to be one of ISIL's crowdsourcing jihadis who had no apparent accomplices.  He evidently made his intentions known on his social media accounts.
