Hillary Clinton--Too big to jail

The FBI director explained all her violations of the law and in effect many of her lies about what she said she did and didn't do.  The bottom line was that he was not going to get in front of a Democrat train heading toward a nomination.  There will be no profiles in courage written about his decision.

James Robbins does have a nice summary of where the FBI Director statement leaves her:
...
... she is left with an investigation that found her perilously incompetent, calling into question her fitness for office. Director Comey said she and her staff were “were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information” to which “hostile actors” might have been able to gain access. The FBI did find that "hostile actors gained access to the private commercial e-mail accounts of people with whom Secretary Clinton was in regular contact from her personal account."

So in the view of the FBI, Hillary Clinton is a blundering fool who compromised national security but not a provable arch-criminal. This is not what the country needs in a president. “Dangerously negligent but never indicted” is an extremely low bar to set for the leadership of the free world. And it kills Hillary’s argument that she would be a highly skilled chief executive.
...
If Trump were smart, which is a dubious proposition, he would focus on this aspect of the situation.  She still could face administrative sanctions according to the Washington Examiner:
...
"The agency may impose disciplinary action or revoke a person's security clearance," the report says. "The revocation of a security clearance is usually not reviewable by the Merit System Protection Board and may mean the loss of government employment. Government employees may be subject to monetary penalties for disclosing classified information."
...
She will have a cloud of dirt hanging over during the campaign like the Peanuts character Pig Pen.
