Gingrich would deport those who believe in Sharia Law

NY Times:

Newt Gingrich Echoes Donald Trump With Remarks on Muslims and Terrorism

The former House speaker said that American intelligence agencies need to more closely scrutinize mosques, and that any Muslim who believes in Sharia law should be required to leave the country.
Trump does not speak with the same clarity that Gingrich does.  He tends to make broad statements and then starts whittling back.  Gingrich is on to something when dealing with Sharia.  It is part of a doctrine of Islamic supremacy that is totally inconsistent with the US Constitution's 1st amendment which provides for freedom of religion.

The left has had a tendency to dismiss the dangers of Sharia or downplay it.  But all you have to do is look at countries that practice it and you can clearly see there is zero tolerance of other religions or if they are allowed the non-Muslims are taxed at a higher rate.  One of the goals of radical Islam is to impose Sharia on the world.

It is more than passing strange that so many liberals are not troubled by this.  They would obviously be troubled if conservative Christians required such a test of non-believers.
