Ted Cruz is a voice of sanity in dealing with the ISIL terrorist attack in Orlando

Politico:

Sen. Ted Cruz may not be running for president anymore, but he’s calling for all Americans to “unite in defeating radical Islamic terrorism.”
“Enough is enough. What we need is for every American — Democrat and Republican — to come together, abandon political correctness, and unite in defeating radical Islamic terrorism,” the Texas Republican said in a lengthy call to action on Sunday.

“ISIS doesn’t just target soldiers. They don’t target Republicans. Or Jews. They also target Christians and fellow Muslims,” Cruz said. “ They target each and every one of us. As we saw this morning, they target the gay and lesbian community. Their objective, which they broadcast worldwide, is to murder or forcibly convert every single American.”

“If you’re a Democratic politician and you really want to stand for LGBT, show real courage and stand up against the vicious ideology that has targeted our fellow Americans for murder,” he said.

Cruz further predicted that Democrats would “try to exploit this terror attack to undermine the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms of law-abiding Americans.”

His response is much more intelligent than that of Obama and more coherent than that of Trump.  He also accurately predicted the attack on the 2nd Amendment by Democrats like Obama.  Obama did not appear to take notice that the mass murders happened in a "gun free zone."  The killer also passed a background check and legally purchased the weapons.   In other words, the Democrat policies did nothing to prevent the Islamic terrorist attack.
